Because car safety for children is our priority, we have been working for more than 20 years to offer car seats with the best quality-price ratio.
Our motto: to make accessible to all, the safety in the car of the children. No matter the budget, we have to have the car seat you need so that you can travel serenely by car with the children.
Integrated CrashTest Laboratory
In order to be able to test our car seats and make corrections for the safety of our children, we have integrated our own Crash Test laboratory into our manufacturing tool.
Every day we do dozens of CrashTest on our models to check the quality of the car seats.
This primary child safety equipment allows us to be responsive and to act directly on our production chain. Our CrashTest laboratory is, of course, subject to regular inspections by the French Ministry of Transport, which then hand over the homologations of our car seats.
All CrashTests we perform internally are filmed and recorded and reports are sent to the Ministry of Transport for verification of the procedure and results.
TeamTex Group Innovation
To further enhance children's car safety, we are constantly developing and innovating. We are not satisfied with the homologation of our car seats, we work hard to evolve our products, make them ergonomic, safe, and comfortable.
The 5-point harness with shoulder adjusters
Inspired by car racing, we opted for the 5-point harness with shoulder adjusters for all of our car seats (except the 3-point self-hatch seats).
Be aware that the loops of the adjusters that will be used for tightening are made of metal and therefore can not break.
The plastic cladding add to these steel buckles are necessary for aesthetic issues but also to prevent the baby from burning in high heat. This plastic cladding does not hold the harness in any way, are the metallic buckles that support everything.
The main advantage of these shoulder adjusters is that you can bring a better tension to the tightening (the force being divided by two): the adjustment of the harness will be tight, and your child held perfectly in case of accidents.
The Isofix system
The Isofix is a system of attachment of the car seat that allows the children a maximum of safety in car. The system appeared in 2006 on new vehicles and became mandatory on all vehicles from 2011.
The cars have two metal rings that are placed between the backrest and the seat of the rear seat. The Isofix car seat is equipped with 2 metal clips and a hook at its end to be fixed effectively. By means of a third attachment point which is generally in the form of a strap which serves to press the seat by binding it to the backrest or by a strut which bears against the floor of the vehicle, Car seat is locked and is anti-rotation in case of collision.
First of all, according to the statistics, 2 out of 3 children are badly attached in car, so one can imagine the number of injuries that could be avoided in the event of an accident.
With the Isofix attachment system, you have a seat perfectly secured to the car, which is therefore more secure for the child.
By being fully attached to the seat of the car the Isofix car seat allows a more important maintenance of the child and the CrashTests are there to attest it.
The Isofix system undeniably offers excellent safety performance for your car journeys with children.
I-size car seats
Team-Tex products meet all relevant ECE R44/04 regulations. In addition, Team-Tex launched car seats that comply with the new EU safety regulation for child car seats (ECE R129) or I-size.
It was introduced in July 2013 to make child car seats easier to fit, provide better protection from side impacts and keep children rearward-facing for longer. I-size uses the child's height to determine if the seat fits the child, rather than their weight.
So, it's important to check that your child's height is within the range of the seat. In general, parents tend to know their child's height better than their weight, which should make it easier for parents to judge if the seat is suitable for their child and when they should move the child into a larger seat.
Babies in I-size car seats stay rearward-facing until they are at least 15 months old. It is important to note that for the moment the two standards, R044/44 and R129 coexist.
The TeamTex Group is creating new I-size car seats.
